December 4, 1966, Hadrut region, village of Khcaberd

1984 finished secondary school after M. Manvelyan in Hadrut.
1984 - 1990 studied in the Institute of National Economy of Armenia in the faculty of financial accounting and got a qualification of economist.
1998 entered the Russian Defence Ministry’s Military Academy and graduated with honours.
2010 – 2011 studied at the Russian Armed Forces General Staff Academy; graduated with a gold medal.

Career Experience
1990 – 1992 worked in Hadrut’s Savings Bank as a crediting instructor, chief accountant and then Savings Bank’s manager.
From 1991 had been involved in voluntary self – defence forces and in autumn 1992, had been recruited into newly created defensive district as a soldier and since then assumed various military positions - platoon commander, battery commander, chief of artillery staff, chief of artillery, and since 1996 - 1998 - deputy commander, chief of staff of regiment.

2006-2011 chief of the staff of a corps, deputy commander
2011-2015 chief of the RA armed forces engineering troops
2015-2017 commander of an army corps
2017-2018 Ministry of Defence of Artsakh Republic, first deputy minister, chief of the staff of Defence Army
December 14, 2018 by the decree of AR President was appointed Minister of Defence, commander of Defence Army of Artsakh Republic
